System requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • SOLIDWORKS 2021 or newer for SW+
  • SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional 2021 or newer for PDM+ and VaultMigrate
  • .NET Framework 4.8
  • Local administrator rights for installation
  • A one-time internet connection for activation (offline license files are available)

Installation steps

Installing SW+

  1. 1Close SOLIDWORKS and run SWPlus-Setup.exe.
  2. 2Complete the setup wizard; the add-in registers itself with SOLIDWORKS automatically.
  3. 3Start SOLIDWORKS and check that SW+ is enabled under Tools → Add-Ins.
  4. 4The SW+ tab appears and the 15-day trial starts automatically. If you have purchased a license, enter your key in the SW+ license window.

Installing PDM+

  1. 1Install PDMPlus-Setup.exe on the PDM administrator's computer.
  2. 2Open the SOLIDWORKS PDM Administration tool and log in to your vault as an administrator.
  3. 3Right-click the vault's Add-ins node, choose New Add-in and add the PDM+ add-in files from the installation folder.
  4. 4The add-in is distributed from the vault to every client automatically; PDM+ menus appear when users restart File Explorer.
  5. 5The 15-day trial starts when the add-in is added to the vault. If you have purchased a license, enter the key in the PDM+ license window; the license is bound to the vault.

Installing VaultMigrate

  1. 1Install VaultMigrate-Setup.exe on the computer that will run the migration.
  2. 2Make sure the SOLIDWORKS PDM client is installed and that you can access the source and target vaults.
  3. 3Open the application, select your Excel list and rules, and run the preview first to review the report.

License activation

After purchase, enter the license key from your email in the add-in's license window and click Activate. Activation needs an internet connection once; after that, the add-in works offline. For air-gapped environments, request an offline license file from info@sofayazilim.com.
